Standard Programme/s Overview

 Business Continuity is a key issue in the business world and should be on the agenda in every boardroom. The last decade has seen a wealth of information on the subject become available and standards have been published and accepted. Standards provide for best practice and serve as benchmarks, providing the criteria upon which measurement is based, but are not designed to provide the practical knowledge and sound understanding of best practice, including the business continuity lifecycle required to successfully initiate, implement and maintain an effective Business Continuity Management Programme.

 ContinuitySA has over the years designed and built several custom recovery sites, created many viable recovery strategies on behalf of their blue chip clients, performed hundreds of Risk & Impact analyses and compiled thousands of Business Continuity Plans covering virtually every type of business or system that exists. This practical knowledge and the wealth of experience acquired over the years is now available to be shared with you.

 ContinuitySA offers two formalised programmes in Business Continuity Management.  Fristly a two day Complete Continuity® Programme aimed at individuals who want to gain an overall understanding of what Business Continuity Management (BCM) is and what the issues involved are. Secondly ContinuitySA offers a five day Complete Continuity® Practitioner Programme which covers all components of Business Continuity Management , with several modules being presented that build upon each other. The entire life-cycle of business continuity is explored, using case studies, classroom exercises and appropriate audio and visual aids. The focus of the training programme is on the practical application of sound business continuity principles, using the wealth of how-to knowledge resident within ContinuitySA.  The Complete Continuity® Pratitioner Programme covers all subjects listed in the Business Continuity Institute’s Good Practice Guideline and the British Standards (BS25999) on Business Continuity.

 ContinuitySA as a leader in the field has always adhered to the best of local and international standards for Business Continuity. Both programmes have been fully accredited by the ISETT Seta Services and have received Content Approval by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI).  Assuring clients the highest quality in delivery.  In addition each delegate not yet affiliated with the BCI will be enrolled as an Affiliate with the BCI.



In- Company Customised BCM Training

ContinuitySA’s long standing BCM training programmes have received accolades from delegates and the media alike. Over 1500 professionals have received practical knowledge  on  ContinuitySA’s varied training programmes in the past five years.

In addition to the standard programmes ContinuitySA  can offer you customised training in your own environment on any of the related BCM topics.  The benefit being  that it is not only the most cost effective, but you’ll receive training that meets your unique requirements.  Specific needs are addressed with you collaboratively; current BCM related issues could be addressed and ironed out with the assistance of an experienced consultant right there and then.  The knowledge gained through any of these short courses could be immediately applied in the place of work. 

These customised courses vary in length, depth and related topics. They may be designed to address personnel from operational to executive level.  A project definition workshop is set-up prior to commencement where requirements are predetermined and agreed, thereby ensuring that the programme is customised to your requirements.

About your expert programme presenter/s

As opposed to traditional training programmes in which facilitators deliver the course, all the trainers are practising Business Continuity consultants employed by ContinuitySA, holding either an MBCI (Member of the BCI) or FBCI (Fellow of the BCI) status, which is the highest levels of BCI accreditation..

Not only will attendees be led by people with experience in the field they are teaching, the course leaders have all also been accredited as members or fellows at the Business Continuity Institute. In each case, this accreditation is only given to people who have been successfully putting the best practices defined in BS25999 into practice for a certain number of years.
